Vind-een-vertaler: English language communication support from professionals

On 5 March 2010, a Netherlands-based group of English language professionals launched www.vind-een-vertaler.nl. In just a few clicks this portal website takes visitors to the right professional support for their English language communication needs - whether they are looking for a translator, an editor, a copywriter, an interpreter or a language trainer.

Vind-een-vertaler is not a translation agency, it is the initiative of a group of experienced, independent English language professionals, each with an impressive track record in their own area of expertise. Many of these specialists in, for instance, academic, technical, financial or legal English have acquired their sometimes highly specific terminology know-how while working as practitioners in these fields, before they entered the communications business.

Visitors to Vind-een-vertaler can search the database for the right professional in two ways:

• On the basis of the services they offer (translation, editing, copywriting, interpreting or training)
• On the basis of the subjects they specialise in (for example architecture, medicine, law, IT and sciences)

By clicking on a name, visitors are taken to a separate page with an extensive profile and contact details. They can then get in touch and do business directly with the language professional of their choice.
